Hello, I have a 27DAC to repair. One of the two power transformer is in short. Where can i find a spare or specification of the transformer. Thank you for your help
Are you sure it is the transformer itself that is shorted? Or could it be a cap or diode? In any case, I have no Service Manuals, alas. But if you can find out the receiving DC regulator’s part number and look it up, you can look up its minimum/maximum voltage onlinm and then you can take it from there. Or, just bring it to a good repair shop. Should not be a difficult or expensive job.
Hello Christiaan,
I have a 27ix and I would like to know what are the screws that I should remove to open it: there are approximately 30 screws on the bottom plate, and I am not sure that I have to remove all of them to open the DAC ?
Do you know what screws should be removed ???
Hi, I have not disassembled a 27. However, going from what I know of the 861, which has similar build as the 27, you need to remove only long screws that go all the way to the top. First, the ones in the four corners. That releases the four top caps. Then, there may be two more near the middle.
Good morning Christiaan,
do you know the upgrade Wadia offered from X64.4 to 27?
thank you
regards
I’ve encountered one such occasion (quite rare, I believe) but I have not heard the unit in my system or in relation to the X64.4 or a regular 27.
