In line with the celebrations of their 40th anniversary, AVM is releasing a Black Edition upgrade of the Evolution series. The upgrade is available for the CS 5.3, AS 5.3, PAS 5.3, and MP 5.3 not only for new devices but can also be retrofitted to existing models. The Black Edition does not replace the current Evolution models but optimizes their performance.
CS 5.3 Black Edition
The Black Edition offers a number of technical improvements, including an optimized tube module, carefully selected op-amps, Mini-MELF precision resistors, internal silver wiring, a redesigned output stage, and additional power capacity. The CS all-in-one and AS streaming amplifiers also feature new rhodium-plated speaker terminals.
According to AVM, the upgrade results in an even more natural and transparent reproduction, with more calmness, detail, spaciousness, and musical engagement.
It is notable that owners of existing Evolution 5.3 and 3.3 models can have their device upgraded at the factory to the current 5.3 specifications, including the latest tube preamplifier. This underscores AVM’s philosophy of sustainability and long-term product support.

The AVM Evolution Black Edition is available immediately through authorized AVM dealers and costs 3.249 euros.
