Industry Update by Admire Audio and ATM-Audio
Announcing a collaboration between Admire Audio and ATM-Audio
From the collaboration of Jesús Alejos (ATM-audio) and Daniel Reina (Admire Audio), three products associated with the AA4, AA3, AA2, and Monitor models are born. The power amplifiers of the Ponent and Garbí series, in their 10-, 25- and 60-watt variants, raise the virtues in each configuration, reaching the highest reproduction levels.

With its 104 dB efficiency, the “AA4” model, together with the Ponent 10 stereo power amplifier, “flies”, and shows the sound scene with overwhelming realism and ease. The micro-dynamics immerse us, the discrimination surprises us, and the colors and textures in the stage space transport us to the live performance.
The Ponent 25 stereo model reacts the same way as the “AA2 and AA3” models. A lively and full sound aesthetics. A warm and enhanced tone of the zone where everything happens, the middle zone. Altec sound in these two models inspired by the past. A rejuvenated past, with that warmth and personality that keeps us attentive.

The Garbi 60 monophonic power amplifiers deliver 60 W in pure class A, which can be associated with any of our models—versatility and control at the highest level. Associated with our monitor, they provide an impact and control that leaves no one unmoved. Undoubtedly, an ideal proposal for those who desire the most demanding reproduction from a monitor, being the scene size and simply incredible depth.
Admire Audio and atm-audio manufacture handmade in Valencia (Spain).

This only reaffirms my belief that the best configuration for a loudspeaker is a 2-way design, been proven time and time again but the main part being the high frequency drivers ability to reach down in the lowest possible frequencies without burning out voice coils, it seems, without running an Electrostatic panel for highs, the obvious formula requires a low watt but very well executed amplifier that covers the bases entirely even while producing micro watts. Delivering every bit of it through the best conductive wires and using high frequency drivers that are efficient enough to use that power perfectly without any chances of ever causing damage. The question I have us, how to get the bass notes to match the tweeters, are they bi-amped or running multiple woofers with very low impedance? What is the overall impedance of those massive Altec (clones?) beauties, do they offer direct input without crossovers or is it needed to use a unique crossover to achieve this. I remember reading about the old Altec using external crossovers that were extremely hard to find if they were ever separated from the speakers. Like they made each one specifically for each cabinet.
