Linn Klimax DS/0 versus Majik
First message right after arriving home and listening to the DS/0 for the first time
We have been back on Saturday around 22:00. I connected the DS on Sunday and enjoyed the music. But the sound of your system has been overwhelming. Clear and clean with contour and volume. Congratulations.
One day later
One thing first, the Majik is not bad and it sounds better at first, but the longer you listen and compare, the more I find the Klimax to be correct and honest. The spatial imaging is significantly better for the climax, he staggers more in depth and gives the instrument more contour.
One week later
So now I've had plenty of time to test the Klimax. Initially, the difference with the Majik was not too big. But over time the differences come to light. The climax has a very different sound, it sounds decent, fine resolution. The Majik impetuous yes, even in comparison slightly pointed or hard. I particularly like classical music on the Klimax, as the sounds of the instuments are much warmer. Especially with my favorite pieces by Grieg, Peer Gynt Suite No. 1 Op 46th. This impulsivity is intoxicating. However, I must say that I have moved my speakers a little bit. Also, I have to thank for the Klimax, it is better from the room. My humble chain:

But whether that justifies the considerable extra cost of the climax remains a mystery .... But everything fits together at least and on the whole I am satisfied with the Klimax and also my system.

After I sold my DS/0, the new owner supplied some feedback, comparing the DS/0 to his Majik. Since I will probably not review the Majik myself, I figured it might be interesting for prospect buyers to post his findings here.
